BUSINESS PATHWAY DIPLOMA

Graduation Requirements for a Diploma with an Emphasis in Business Careers (If an AP Course is not offered at the time the student needs, the student may apply to take the equivalent class at a college under the Concurrent Enrollment.)
     Skilled Level – Technical College or Community College Degree/Certificate
     Professional Level – Four-year college/University Degree and beyond

PRE-PATHWAY COURSE WORK
Prior to entering the Business Pathway, students must complete Communications or Freshman English, Computer Applications, and Career Exploration. For the skilled pathway students also must have taken Cash and Consumer.

English

4.0 Credits
Communications (1.0)  for classes of 2012 - 2014

Freshman English (1.0) for class of 2015 - 2016

American Literature (1.0) for class of 2013

Contemporary Voices: Sophomore English (1.0) for classes of 2014 - 2016

2.0 credits of additional English with .33 of formal composition, .33 of literature, and .33 of speech for the classes of 2013 - 2014.  (The course catalog indicates if a course fulfills this requirement.)

2.0 credits of additional English with .33 of American Literature, .33 of literature, .33 of formal composition, .33 of composition, and .33 of speech for classes of 2015-2016.   (The course catalog indicates if a course fulfills this requirement.)

Total Credits – The student must earn at least 29.4 credits for this pathway diploma.

Shadowing – All students must complete 3 one-half day shadowing experiences.  One experience must be in a business-related field.

Community Service – 50 hours must be logged to receive .33 credit.

Internship – 50 hours in a business-related field must be logged to receive .33 credit.

Portfolio – A portfolio is required for this pathway diploma.

Senior Project – A senior project is required for this pathway diploma.
