Enrollment

Deciding on the best environment for your child to receive an education is a huge choice to make. We thank you for your interest in University Schools and look forward to welcoming you and your child. All the information you need to begin the application and enrollment process is right here.

Application for Admission

To apply for admission to University Schools, please complete and sign one application for each child in the family applying for enrollment. Applications are available on this page or at our main office. Children must be five years old on or before June 1 for consideration for admission into kindergarten.

High School Admission

Upon invitation to University High School, each student must complete a registration packet. Final acceptance is contingent upon the successful completion of the 8th grade. Eligibility for interscholastic athletics is determined in accordance with the rules of the Colorado High School Activities Association.

Enrollment Lottery

University Schools utilizes the lottery method to select applicants. We will accept applications all year; however, to guarantee inclusion in the first lottery round held in January, we must receive applications by the second Friday in December. We give priority to the siblings of current US students and US staff members’ children prior to conducting the lottery.

The lottery begins in early January and continues through September. We hold drawings in the administrative offices with a parent and board member present as witnesses. We will notify those selected in the lottery by mail, after which you will have 10 business days to complete and return the required paperwork. Please notify us at this time if the child has other siblings in the lottery pool that need to be marked as a sibling. Until chosen by lottery, applications remain on file unless the parent/guardian requests removal.

Denial

University Schools may deny enrollment based on misrepresentation or non-disclosure of a material fact on the application, expulsion within the preceding 12 months, graduation from 12th grade from any school, or failure to return the required registration paperwork by the date stated in the initial invitation.
