Ms. Gullickson was born and raised in Wisconsin, Michigan, and South Dakota. She moved to Colorado 22 years ago.
She has her Bachelor's of Music in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Piano Performance from the University of South Dakota. Further, post-graduate studies, were in Theory and Composition. In 2008, she earned Level I certification in Orff-Schulwerk music teaching at the University of Northern Colorado.
After teaching in rural South Dakota, she returned to the University of South Dakota to teach piano and theory. After moving to Colorado, she taught at Aims Community College for several years, worked for Centennial BOCES in the Departments of Special Education, taught at Jefferson School in Greeley, and Weldon Valley Schools in Weldona. She has been at University Schools for four years.
While raising her three children, she was a professional accompanist for the University of South Dakota and Music Teachers' National Association and also was an adjudicator for the Music Teachers' National Association.
She is currently the Director of Music and organist at St. John's United Church of Christ and is a published composer with Augsburg/Fortress Press and Twin Elm Publishing.
She is the proud mother of two daughters and a son and the grandmother to three granddaughters.
