THE UNIVERSITY SCHOOLS FOUNDATION
How to contribute
When University Schools moved to its new location a Foundation
was formed for the purpose of supporting the financial needs of
the school. School districts pass bond issues to build
and furnish schools. Like a homeowner, however, a charter school
must make its own mortgage payments out of the state money we receive
through District 6. The annual mortgage payment for
our school is roughly $1.5 million dollars. That is money
that could otherwise be going into the classroom to make our support
directly comparable with the public schools. What is amazing is
the quality experience our students nevertheless receive thanks
to a dedicated faculty and staff.
Many generous donors have contributed nearly $500,000 to the University
Schools Foundation for the purpose of furnishing the building,
exterior landscaping, and development of athletic fields. As
we continue to fund school projects and further develop our school
site, we need your financial assistance to fill the gap caused
by our mortgage payments. ALL donations to the Foundation
go directly to school projects. Any monetary donation
to the Foundation is greatly appreciated.
Our ultimate goal is to create an endowment fund. Interest
earned from an endowment fund would provide perpetual support to
our school. Either way, if you would like to contribute to the
University Schools Endowment Fund or make a direct contribution
for direct support, you may send a check to the school in care
of the University Schools Foundation.
The members of the Foundation Board greatly appreciate the assistance
and support that parents and alumni have provided. We encourage
you to continue with your tax deductible donations.
Our Most Sincere Thanks!
