The USPTO’s primary purpose is to facilitate communication between teachers, parents and the school community.  Its secondary purpose is to provide financial support for University Schools by providing grants to the teachers to buy educational materials and equipment for the classrooms or to the school for general projects.

Come Celebrate with the USPTO:

During the 2008-2009 school year, we gave our teachers over $20,000 to purchase items for their classrooms.  Some of the requests granted were new science balances, fly rods, airliner pointing devices for middle school math, Paw Prints workshop for the school newspaper, World History Books, art tools and so much more! 

Be A Part of Positive Change with the USPTO:

Attend our monthly meetings (4th Thursday of each month) and have your voice heard!  We welcome our parents, students and teachers to help make our school the best it can be.  We are beginning the 2009-2010 school year with positive changes by creating bylaws to help us reach our goals more effectively.  We also have new board members and fresh ideas to make our meetings more valuable to all who attend. 

Contribute your time and talents with the USPTO:

The USPTO achieves its mission statement through fundraising.  You can volunteer to help with our Spring Carnival, Scrapbooking Event or our Teacher Appreciation Week.  All it takes is 1-2 hours of your time…we promise!  The more support we have means more support for our school community.  You can also volunteer to be a classroom liaison to help us maintain good communication.  The USPTO also wants to help you network your business.
