Enrollment Information
Your child's application will be
put on file when it is received in the school office. Students are
selected by a lottery draw when an opening occurs. When your child's
name is drawn, you will be notified by mail and requested to submit a permanent
school record and transcript from any previously attended schools,
health records, and any other pertinent information which may be
of help in determining admission. Do not send us this material unless
requested by University Schools. If you should decide at some time in the future that you
no longer want your child's name to remain in the lottery,
we would appreciate notification as soon as possible. Also, please
keep us advised of address and telephone changes.
Testing and Research: The testing
program at the University Schools includes group standardized achievement
tests given periodically throughout the 12 year program and CSAP
tests. Other special testing is available to meet special needs.
All test results are open to parents upon request in the Student
Services Center.
High School Parents: Upon invitation
to our high school program, your child will be required to complete
a registration packet. Only students who have successfully completed 8th grade will be admitted. The registration packet will contain scheduling information
that you will be required to sign. University High School has an
"open campus" policy, which means that it is not mandatory
that the students remain on campus (within the grounds)
during any free time. Your signature on the schedule sheets indicate
that you approve of your child's schedule of classes and his/her
free time.
All Parents: Upon initial admittance
to the University Schools, your child will be required to have a
current medical physical and immunization record on file with the
school.
