• Come Volunteer at University 

    University Schools is proud to have such an amazing community of students, parents, staff and volunteers. Being a K-12 school means our calendar is always full of activities and events, and it takes a lot of hands to put it all together. House activities, carnivals, trips and kick-off events take a lot of work and we are always looking for volunteers to help out. We know you share our passion for students, and volunteering is a fantastic way to get involved. 

    Visitor Requirements

    Visitors simply have to show a photo ID at the security vestibule where they will receive a visitor badge. They must return this badge and check out with our security staff when they leave. 

    Volunteer Requirements 

    We define volunteers as anyone who supervises students. If you would like to go on field trips, help out in classrooms or be involved with events, you must meet the following requirements. 

    • Must be over 18 years old
    • Pass a criminal background check
    • Complete our online application

PTEP, Practicum & Student Teacher - Requirements

  • BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENT INSTRUCTIONS

    Access the Volunteer Application through the above link.

    Within the application process, when given the choice of "Functions" choose "Student/Practicum Teacher" designation.

    Finish completing the online application and submit.

    Once you have completed the application, please email our Security Director at dlobado@univeristyschools.com with the following information:

    1. Your Name
    2. The name of the Teacher you are working with
    3. The date you completed the RAPTOR application

    FIRST ON-LOCATION DAY, be prepared for the security check-in by having the following information with you.

    1. Your school ID
    2. Driver License
    3. The name of the teacher you are assigned to

    You will be denied entrance to the school if you do not provide the information. 

    Check in at the High School Main Entrance Security Desk through the north-facing door, off of the high school parking lot (6525 W 18th Street).
